ARCY compares the users it helped against the users who reached the same step and never used it. Both are counted as finished the same way.
What it does
Lift answers the question that decides whether ARCY stays: how much better do your users do when ARCY helps them. It is the difference between two groups of your own users, both counted the same way, not a model of what might have happened.
- Reports completion with ARCY against completion without it, over the same window
- Counts finishing as reaching the last step in your product, however the user got there
- Breaks the flow down step by step, filtered by attribute or split by one
- Ends in a written report you can send to your own leadership
How it works
- You turn measurement on for one flowA flow with Measure this flow switched on becomes a tracked flow. There is nothing else to author. The steps you already wrote are what the numbers are derived from.
- ARCY splits the users who reached that stepThe ones who ran the flow go in one group. The ones who reached the same starting point and never used ARCY at all go in the other. Users who used ARCY somewhere else without running this flow are in neither, and their count is shown.
- Both groups are counted the same wayFinishing means reaching the last step of the flow in your own product, however the user got there. Running ARCY's flow is not what counts as finishing, so the comparison is a real one.
- The number appears once both groups are big enoughBelow a minimum group size the page shows the counts so far and withholds the difference. Users choose whether to use ARCY, so this is a comparison between two groups of people rather than a controlled test, and the page says so next to the number.
